Happy Friday! Is it just me or did this week fly by? Milo is home sick today (poor guy) so we’re snuggling and resting up in hopes that he’ll feel better for the weekend. Have a wonderful few days!

The Israeli dance group comes to Boston with performances this weekend at Shubert Theater. The new work, Venezuela, combines musical styles like tango, Gregorian chant, and hip hop (so cool). Tickets and more information here.

Enjoy a tribute concert for the “godmother of the music industry”, Sylvia Rhone, tonight at Berklee College of Music, who helped launch many famous artists across music genres. Berklee students will perform music from Missy Elliott, J.J. Fad, Tracy Chapman, DJ Khaled and more. Tickets here.
Slow Art Day
Slow Art Day is a global event inviting people to look at art more slowly and intentionally, allowing them to perhaps discover something new. Participants are encouraged to look at five pieces of art for ten minutes each. Here is a list of participating venues; the ICA in Boston is one of them.
ImprovBoston Family Show
Have you ever been to an improv show? My father-in-law has recently really gotten into it, and I’d love to see him perform sometime. Improv shows can be so fun! ImprovBoston is hosting a family show this Saturday from 4-6pm. Children have the opportunity to participate and join on-stage. It’s recommended for kids ages 4-12. More info here.
Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at [email protected]. Have a wonderful weekend!
