A derailed Red Line train at the JFK/UMass stop is causing headaches for MBTA commuters.

The MBTA on Tuesday morning, just after 6:30 a.m., warned commuters of “severe” delays as the agency deployed shuttle buses for both southern legs of the Red Line, between North Quincy and Park Street and Ashmont Station and Park Street.

“Passengers may also use Commuter Rail from Braintree, Quincy Center and JFK,” the MBTA said on Twitter.
