Egleston Square units start at more than $2,400/month for studios, $2,700-plus for one-bedrooms

The 73-unit apartment complex at 3200 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain’s Egleston Square has started leasing, developer Berkeley Investments announced.

The six-story building is expected to open this summer, and fills the former site of the Economy Plumbing & Heating Supply Company. The building includes 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail as well as a lobby that will feature works from local artists.

The contemporary-style apartments—which RODE Architects designed—will range from 434 square feet to 1,232 square feet, with 19 studios, 11 one-bedrooms, 34 two-bedrooms, and nine three-bedrooms.

Many will have private terraces or other outdoor space, according to the Boston-based developer. Nine units are designated affordable, and the project includes a separate triple-decker with condos offering “affordable ownership opportunities.”

Rents for 3200 Washington’s studios start at $2,405 a month, for one-bedrooms at $2,720, two-bedrooms at $3,315, and three-bedrooms at $4,355. There are also six two-bedroom penthouses starting at $3,735 and one three-bedroom penthouse for $5,460 a month.

The complex’s suite of amenities will include garage parking, a fitness center, a shared roof deck, and an 8,800-square-foot courtyard. Berkeley Investments is also touting the building’s proximity to the Southwest Corridor Park and the Orange Line’s Stony Brook and Green Street stops.
